FAQ
What's the difference between color editing and retouching?
Color editing means adjusting point curve, exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, whites, blacks, white balance, tint, vibrance, saturation, details, sharpness, texture, clarity, haze, grain color noise, and different shades of each color. Retouching includes all that + elaborate processing of image, dodge and burn processing, liquifying, object removal etc. It takes about 2-3 hours to do color editing per gallery, while it takes 30+ minutes to retouch each image.
What's the difference between Full Printing Rights and Commercial Rights?
Photographic imagery is the intellectual property of the photographer who created it. This intellectual property is then licensed for specific uses to an end user in the form of a contract. Within the contents of a contract for professional commercial photography services, there's a specific section known as a usage license or licensing agreement. The usage license states how an image can be used, where an image can be used and for how long that image can be used. Full Printing Rights license allows you to print your gallery, use the images for personal purposes and publish them on your social media and website. If you want to use the images for advertisement, you need to purchase a commercial license.
How long does it take for you do finalize a session?
On average, it takes 5-6 hours to complete 1-hour session: 1 hour of shooting time, 3 hours of postproduction (culling, color editing, transferring and uploading the images), 30 minutes - 1 hour of communication time with the client (phone calls, emails etc.), and 30 min - 1 hour of travel time to and from the location.
If you need a producer for your photoshoot (get a location permit, book a studio, contract models, hire crew, organize the shoot, get props etc.), feel free to inquire about those services. My team also offers video production services.
